Narrow Tie

Narrow Bow Tie

The narrow bow tie is rarely ever worn with a standard tuxedo, in fact, it is considered as a major faux pas. Instead, you are expected to wear the narrow bow tie simply with a suit jacket that is well-fitted to your body. An even better effect can be generated should you happen to have a vest on hand. Bow ties in general are best worn with a particular look – the formal look – but wearing a narrow bow tie is said to be able to reduce the sometimes painful formality of a look and translate it into something that is much more comfortable.

Nowadays, very few people outside of incredibly formal (and often glamorous) functions wear bow ties, as the favored looks seems to be that of the more relaxed and more informal necktie. That is not to say, however, that bow ties cannot be fashionable in their own right. Some performers (male and female alike) have chosen to use the narrow bow tie casually as a sort of fashion statement that would set them apart from most other personalities.

In this section of the site, we will be providing you with a catalog of all the different narrow bow tie looks that are available today. At the moment we have nothing up on this section, but please be sure to check back at a later date.
